A group of students at the University of Oregon spent weeks following Winter and her family to create this documentary for a school project. They wanted to follow Winter's journey to the Eugene Half Marathon and share her story about Team Winter. This documentary has been accepted into the hollyshorts.com awards scheduled to take place in August 2011.

Run Coach

Bob is a personal running coach, former All-American Steeplechaser from the University of oregon and 1968 Olympic Trials 5th place finisher in the Steeplechase. Bob has been coaching beginning to elite distance runners for over 41 years. He has coached 10 athletes to the USA Olympic Marathon Trials and 10 State 800m/1500 meter Champions.

Bob's Beliefs and Coaching Philosophy

"The various training methods I use are a direct result of my experience as a competitive athlete while at the University of Oregon back in the mid 60's. My mentor and coach, Bill Bowerman taught me many things but primarily that rest and recovery are critical for short and long term development. I was an integral part of the original Jogging programs Bill started for the Eugene community in 1966 as a result of his experience in New Zealand in the winter of 1964."
